We are seeking an Equipment Operator Grade I to join our Public Works team in Whitby. This full-time role involves operating tandem axle vehicles over 11,000 kg, performing snow removal, and engaging in summer maintenance work to improve community infrastructure. You will ensure safety compliance while delivering excellent customer service and managing vehicular operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain vehicles over 11,000 kg, G.V.W.

• Load, haul, and unload various materials and supplies

• Conduct winter snow operations and removal tasks

• Perform summer road work including patching and resurfacing

• Provide excellent customer service and address public inquiries

Requirements:

• High school diploma required

• Minimum 1.5 years operating large vehicles

• Valid Class 'DZ' Driver's Licence in good standing

• Defensive Driving training completed

• Physically fit to perform strenuous labor
