Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Operator 1 is responsible for receiving, processing, organizing, and storing inventory in the warehouse. This role involves picking and packing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The candidate selected for this role, must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods. They should also be able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
Physical stamina is essential since the tasks are consistent and fast-paced throughout the workday.
Job Description
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick and pack order in an accurate and efficient manner
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, when required
Coordinates activities surrounding the warehouse operations
Unpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriate locations
Ensure pallets and shelving units are in good working conditions
Organize stock and maintain inventories
Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment
Report on any unsafe work conditions that may occur
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Follow company policies and OSHA safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
KEY COMPETENCIES
Ability to lift 50 LBS
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Required to operate material handling equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of recent distribution or warehouse experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Comfortable working at heights while using machinery, when required
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Experience using RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not required
Licensed with any one of the following forklifts:
Counterbalance, Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker, or Dock Stocker (Reach experience preferred) is a strong asset
Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills both oral and written
SAP background preferred but not required
Intermediate knowledge of computer applications

$19.81 - $29.71 Hourly
