We’re looking for an ESG Specialist to lead key environmental and social governance programs across our organization. In this role, you’ll guide our forestry certifications, social compliance initiatives, extended producer responsibility (EPR) reporting, and sustainability performance metrics. Your work will help ensure we meet evolving customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and Hoffmaster’s long-term ESG goals.
What You’ll Do:- Lead social compliance programs, including customer audits, reporting, evaluations, and corrective action support.
- Manage Hoffmaster’s forestry certification program and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Complete and submit EPR (extended producer responsibility) reporting and maintain compliance with state, federal, and global regulations.
- Support facilities with sustainability audits, recertifications, and customer data requests.
- Maintain corporate ESG reporting frameworks, including sustainability metrics, goals tracking, and annual disclosures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to collect data, improve systems, and support sustainability initiatives across all Hoffmaster locations.
- Serve as a key resource for customers, auditors, and external stakeholders on sustainability, certifications, and ESG-related inquiries.
- Strong scientific or environmental skillset with the ability to interpret legislation, certification requirements, and policy changes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach and high attention to detail.
- Experience with ESG reporting, sustainability programs, or compliance audits preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems creatively, and support both corporate and site-level teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Compliance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
