Air Academy Assistant Camp Director – EAA Radio
SummaryThe Assistant Camp Director is responsible for assisting the Camp Director in providing safe delivery of the camp program.
Roles And Responsibilities- Assist the Camp Director with supervising and evaluating all camp programs and staff.
- Prepare and conduct pre-camp and in-service staff training.
- Assist with opening and closing day procedures for staff and campers.
- Assign staff activities and other responsibilities.
- Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all campers and staff.
- Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and wellbeing among the camp family.
- Embrace and support the EAA mission and perform safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 3+ seasons of camp leadership (i.e., unit leader, head counselor) or teaching experience.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
- Pass a rigorous personal background check.
Typical camp or classroom environment. Potential extended hours, including early mornings and late evenings, exceeding 40 hours per week. May involve lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally, and/or negligible force frequently. Standing and walking may be required occasionally, with potential to lift up to 50 lbs during event preparation, and may involve bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, push and pull motions.
