• Perform dental cleanings, X‑rays, and other preventive treatments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Assist the dentist with procedures as needed.
• Take radiographic exposures and enter results into the software program.
• Perform a complete oral prophylaxis, including:
  • Removing calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from tooth surfaces.
  • Deep periodontal scaling, including root planning.
  • Polishing natural and restored tooth surfaces.
• Record and report clinical services and findings for the supervising dentist.
• Provide preventive measures such as sealants and topical fluoride applications.
• Administer oral systemic pre‑medications and sub‑gingival chemotherapeutic agents per state statutes.
• Take patient blood pressure before administering local anesthesia.
• Deliver oral hygiene and plaque control instructions to patients in one‑to‑one or group settings.
• Develop and present dental health education materials and programs.
• Maintain a recall system for routine hygiene patients, including those with chronic medical conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• Licensed to practice in Wisconsin, free of restrictions and maintaining licensure.
• Certified in Dental Anesthesia.

$40.00 – $47.00 per hour
