Job Description

The Sr Engineer – Mechanical designs functional, reliable and cost effective, heavy duty vehicle components. Perform engineering analysis and design or re‑design, development of components into existing and new vehicles. Provide integration and execution support.

YOUR IMPACT:

Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, tasks. Support senior engineers in plans, designs, calculation methods, and reporting.

Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity. May manage multiple projects. Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally and with suppliers externally. Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians. Maintain effective communication with suppliers and customers concerning technical issues.

Enforce proper use of engineering criteria, drawing standards, company policies. Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.

Perform and direct preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material. Perform engineering analysis to support selection of parts, components, and materials. Provide technical assistance for production support. Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.

Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations. Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records. Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs. Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
STANDOUT

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD design tools and modeling.
  • Prior exposure to military combat systems.
  • Knowledge of video signal design and transmission systems.
  • Experience applying root‑cause problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Background in electro‑mechanical system integration.
  • Hands‑on experience with product testing, test labs, or hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing environments.
  • Strong technical writing skills with experience creating engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition tools and post‑processing techniques.
