BEP Accountant (Certified Public Accountant)
- Certified Public Accountant with 5 years minimum experience working with state or federal government agencies.
- Understanding of the Randolph Sheppard Act and its federal regulations under 34 CFR Part 395
- Understanding of the client
Business Enterprise Program and its state laws and regulations under Wis. Admin. Code Ch.Wis
60, Wis. Stat. Ch. 47, and Wis. Admin. Code § ADM 2.12 - Experience assisting individuals with vision loss with the development of monthly profit and loss statements and related financial information.
- Experience developing large print documentation for individuals with vision loss.
- Experience analyzing profit and loss statements and developing and sharing analysis of findings.
- Experience collecting and maintaining monthly and annual financial information.
- Experience developing annual financial reports.
- Ability to regularly meet to discuss and review financial documents and information.
- Experience speaking and presenting during large-group meetings.
- Assist with changes to a standard program Profit and Loss Statement template in consultation with and approved by the State Licensing Agency (SLA).
- Follow procedures for the collection and data verification of monthly Profit and Loss Statements in consultation with the SLA.
- Analyze monthly Profit and Loss Statements and develop invoices based on the submitted information from licensed operators. The total number of BEP Licensed Operators may increase overtime, but obtaining a program license takes several months and advanced notice would be provided if an operator were added.
- Submit monthly set aside invoices to BEP Licensed Operators
- Collect monthly set aside payment from BEP Licensed Operators within 30-days of operators' invoice receipt.
- Ensure monthly BEP Licensed Operator set aside payments toclient . Payments shall be sent toclient
Finance as directed by the SLA. - Collaborate with the BEP Director to develop and maintain program reporting.
- Work with client Finance to track outstanding set aside invoices.
- Provide recommendations to the BEP Director for BEP Licensed Operator fiscal performance improvement plans.
- Monitor BEP Licensed Operator's fiscal performance improvement plans as directed by the BEP Director.
- Ensure all communication and documents are compatible with assistive technology products, e.g., large print, high contrast, compatible with screen readers e.g., JAWS.
- Participate in meetings with the BEP Director on an as needed basis
- Participate in financial-related agenda items of the monthly Elected Committee of Blind Vendors (ECBV) meeting.
Remote with occasional onsite visits very rarely required
