    One of the most unique and sought‑after aspect of our department is our Patrol Schedule which allows officers to have off at least two weekends each month. The 10‑hour shift creates a better work‑life balance and maximizes officer efficiency and community responsiveness. The 10‑hour work schedule consists of the following rotation: 5 on/4 off, 5 on/4 off, 5 on/5 off.

Qualifications for Hire:
  • Possess a minimum of 15 credits from an accredited college or university. (
    * Successful applicants must complete the 60‑credit state requirement within their first 5 years of employment)
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License at the time of appointment
  • Age 20 or older
  • U.S. citizenship
  • No felony or Domestic Abuse related convictions
  • Physical fitness is necessary to meet the demands of the job
