Overview

This Generalist position focuses on recruiting and talent management, with potential to grow beyond recruiting responsibilities. Training is available, and prior HR experience is a plus.

Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Logistics

  • 3-month contract to hire
  • M-Th 9-hour shifts, F half day
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle including sourcing, tracking, screening, scheduling interviews, making offers and through new hire orientation
  • Ensure a steady flow of applicants and adjust recruitment messages to maximize the number of candidates
  • Maintain a database in Excel of all applicants and track each application through the system
  • Provide a high level of service to hiring managers by understanding the needs of the manager and the position
  • Conduct phone and in person screenings with candidates for open positions
  • Document all interactions with candidates and hiring managers
  • Coordinate in person or electronic meetings with hiring managers and the candidates
  • Prepare offers of employment with the hiring manager and present the job offer to the selected candidates
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process, preparing documents and details for the first day of hire; coordinate and present the first day orientation
  • Coordinate and participate in local career events
  • Assist employees with questions regarding employment, benefits, company practices, etc.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits
  • Other duties in Human Resources as time and interest allows
Skills & Abilities
  • Professional in presenting self and Oshkosh Door Company
  • Excellent Microsoft skills to include Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Professional in speech and written communication
  • Excellent planning and creative problem-solving skills
  • Able to multi-task and be organized
  • Maintain good working relationships internally and external to the company
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a human resource discipline or general business preferred, with 3 years of recruitment experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in internet-based searches including job boards, social media, networking with organizations and other sourcing strategies is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of/familiarity with applicable employment laws pertaining to employment/interviewing/hiring practices, such as EEO, AA, ADA, etc., is required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially Excel
Compensation

$23/hr to $25/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefits

Benefit packages for this role start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Eligible employees are entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
