On-Call IT Field Technician – Appleton, WI (NOW)
Join our technician network as an on‑call, independent contractor providing on‑site support for PCs, Macs, printers, and scanners across multiple U.S. cities. This role offers flexible scheduling, with hourly pay ranging from $40 to $45 for on‑site time.

We are expanding our network of skilled on‑call technicians to meet the growing demand for in‑person support—including computers, networks, printers, and more.
About the RoleWe are hiring field IT technicians who can confidently support residential and small business customers. Work includes troubleshooting PCs and Macs, resolving network issues, and repairing or configuring printers/scanners, such as Canon MF printers and G‑series models.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS systems
- Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems
- Set up or troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and wired internet connections
- Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
- Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
- Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
- Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
- Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
- Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post‑service support
- Document service visits and elevate complex issues as needed
- 2+ years of field IT support experience with computers and printers
- Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other common printer brands
- Knowledge of error‑code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts)
- Experience with both Windows 10/11 and macOS troubleshooting
- Personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Smartphone with camera and data for documentation and communication
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
- $40–$45 per hour for on‑site time
