Job Description & How to Apply Below

This role exists with our client because execution matters. As the organization grows, project management is central to performance, reputation, and customer trust. The Vice President of Project Management sets and enforces the standard for how work is planned, communicated, and delivered.

This is a senior leadership role—not one focused on managing individual projects. The emphasis is on building strong teams, aligning expectations, and ensuring consistent results. The role requires presence, decisiveness, and clear leadership internally and with customers.

Success depends on relationships. Internally, the Vice President leads project managers and field leaders through direction and accountability. Externally, the role maintains strong partnerships with owners, architects, and general contractors through communication, problem-solving, and delivery on commitments.

The work is highly visible and lasting, making this role ideal for a leader who values high standards, accountability, and ownership of outcomes.

Why This Company

With nearly a century of success, the organization continues to grow by evolving, reinvesting, and raising standards. It is known as a top-tier contractor with a reputation built on quality execution and reliability.

The company is actively investing in innovative products and long-term growth, increasing opportunity and complexity. It values collaboration, strong relationships, and visible leadership. For leaders seeking meaningful impact in a stable yet forward-moving organization, this is a place where results matter and the future is being built.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the standard for project execution across the organization, ensuring work is planned, communicated, and delivered at a level that protects reputation and customer trust
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Project Management team, building strong leaders who are accountable, decisive, and respected by both field crews and customers
  • Maintain visible engagement with the field, fostering strong relationships with installers and foremen and ensuring alignment between the office, shop, and jobsite
  • Own overall project performance, including schedule, cost, quality, manpower planning, and risk management, and take action when results fall short
  • Drive consistency and discipline in how projects are run — from turnover through closeout — while continuously improving processes as complexity increases
  • Protect and strengthen customer relationships by serving as a senior point of escalation and ensuring commitments are met
  • Partner closely with estimating, operations, and leadership to ensure projects are properly scoped, staffed, and resourced
  • Use metrics to manage performance, tracking schedule adherence, profitability, utilization, and client satisfaction, and holding teams accountable
Qualifications
  • Proven construction leader with deep project management experience and the ability to own results and lead people in complex environments
  • 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience, including direct leadership of project managers and close collaboration with field teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and presence, earning respect in the field, the office, and with customers
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting outcomes, understanding margins, and using data to drive decisions
  • Track record of delivering work at a high standard while consistently meeting schedule, quality, and professionalism commitments
  • Comfortable building long-term relationships with owners, architects, and general contractors and representing the organization with credibility
  • Highly organized and detail-aware, with the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications and understand how design decisions impact fabrication and installation
  • Technically proficient and adaptable, using tools and systems to support execution while staying focused on people and communication
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required; real-world leadership and execution experience carries equal weight
