Job SummaryProvides friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and quality of work environment as directed by Manager on Duty. Controls the flow of business in the dining room so guests feel welcome and comfortable. Checks out guests at the register. Provides genuine hospitality to each guest ensuring their dining experience is highly satisfactory.
Responsibilities- Act as host: greet, seat, and assist guests, including use of waiting list procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance, clean uniform, and personal hygiene.
- Open the building entrance for guests and conduct greeting protocol.
- Use reservation and seating systems, seat guests promptly, and describe features and daily specials.
- Anticipate, identify, and correct system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
- Complete wait sheets and manage seating rotation.
- Handle cash transactions at the register, ask for feedback, and thank guests.
- Regularly circulate the dining room, ensuring guests have everything needed.
- Offer bakery items, package to-go orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of cashier area, bakery displays, lobby, entryway, restrooms, dining room.
- Assist servers: process to-go orders, support pre-bussing, sweep floors, perform side work such as rolling silverware, restocking stations, bussing tables, etc.
- Communicate with Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies and safety problems.
- Keep General Manager and Manager on Duty informed of problems and propose alternative solutions.
- Ensure 100% guest satisfaction on every visit.
- Extensive standing and walking for up to 8 hours.
- Vision: 20/20 at 20 feet, 20/20 at 12 inches, ability to perceive hazards.
- Clear verbal communication.
- Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
- Reach up to 6 feet; navigate spaces of 2½–3 feet.
- High mobility/flexibility in the provided space.
- Time management skills.
- Read/write and perform addition/subtraction.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and handle food items.
- Fit through openings 30 inches wide.
- Ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure during busy times.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays of food weighing about 50 pounds up to 30 feet.
- Exposure to dish and cleaning chemicals.
Receives direction and training from Manager on duty regarding procedures and assignments.
Knowledge and SkillsBasic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught through in‑house training.

Compensation$8.25 – $12.00 per hour.
