Assistant Professor of Mathematics – Faculty Position
Position Requirements and Preferences:
Must have master’s degree in mathematics education, mathematics, or another area with a reasonable amount of coursework in mathematics. Must have proven success teaching/tutoring mathematics at the secondary school level or developmental mathematics to under-prepared college students who struggle seek colleagues with effective, inclusive classroom management skills and office hours.
Position Summary:
The William Penn University (WPU) Applied Technology Division invites applications for a full-time faculty member in Mathematics beginning Fall 2026 to teach math and statistics classes including developmental and general education. Rank and tenure dependent upon qualifications. K-12 teaching experience preferred but not required. WPU is a teaching institution. We seek innovative, student‑caring instructors who use research‑based pedagogical strategies. Candidates must be forward‑thinking, student‑centered, and work collaboratively and collegially.
Expectations include effective advising, effective use of technology, student‑learning assessment, service, and professional development. This is a full‑time teaching and mentoring position. We honor effective teaching. No release time is given for research and publishing.
