As a Sleep Lab Apprentice at Mahaska Health, you will gain hands‑on experience working alongside a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) in a clinical sleep lab. • Assist the RPSGT during sleep studies.
• Observe and support the setup and monitoring of daytime and overnight polysomnographic recordings under direct supervision.
• Prepare sleep study equipment and patient rooms.
• Help set up electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment prior to patient arrival.
• Support patient comfort and safety by welcoming patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a calm environment.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrollment in an accredited Sleep Technologist Program.
