Position: Human Resources and Safety Coordinator / Talent Aquisition

Join our Team as a Human Resources and Safety Coordinator!

Are you passionate about finding great talent and fostering a safe, welcoming workplace? Interpower Corporation is seeking a dynamic professional to lead recruitment and safety initiatives across our Iowa locations.

About the Role:

Based in Oskaloosa, IA, this position plays a key role in shaping our workforce and safety culture. You will coordinate and continuously improve our hiring and onboarding processing, while serving as the on‑site safety champion for both Interpower Corporation (a manufacturer of power system components) and Tassel Ridge Winery (a producer of fine wines). Occasional day travel to our four Iowa locations is required.

Key Requirements:
  • Developing and continuously improvement recruitment strategies and resources which enable the Company to attract candidates with the skill and attributes required to meet corporate objectives
  • Coordinating, managing, and continually improving the hiring process
  • Being the on‑site safety champion by leading an employee safety program
  • Coordinating and leading a new employee orientation process
  • Dealing with employees’ issues and concerns in a fair, timely and effective manner.
What we are Looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources
  • 1‑3 years of Human Resources experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience leading or participating in a corporate‑wide safety program
  • Proven success in recruitment and on‑boarding experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Team Skills
  • A proactive work ethic and positive attitude

HRCI or SHRM certification is a plus but not required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Pre‑employment criminal background check required.
  • Post offer, employment physical and drug screen required.

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
