Clow Valve is a leading manufacturer of water valves and fire hydrants, a division of McWane Corporation. The company has a rich history dating back to 1909, with its current machine shop located on South Second St. in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Clow Valve operates state‑of‑the‑art facilities that are ISO 9000 certified and recognized by OSHA.

2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 3 PM – 1 AM.
Starting Wage: $29.09;
Qualified Rate: $29.75.
2nd shift differential: $0.90/hour.
Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 after 120 day probation.
Health insurance: available after 60 days.

• Repair, maintain, install, lubricate, troubleshoot, and adjust machines and equipment.
• Perform routine inspection and lubrication of machine shop equipment.
• Apply minor repairs to hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Use common hardware such as bolts and pipe fittings.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Operate forklift, lifts, and conveyors.
• Weld and perform minor fabrications.

• Must pass onsite aptitude test.
• Ability to lift/carry 40–50 pounds and perform overhead or shoulder‑level reaching.
• Capable of twisting torso at waist, frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting up to 90 times per hour.
• Stand and walk 8–10 hours per day.
• Move neck, kneel, squat, and climb using arms and legs.
• Operate both hands and fingers repetitively with tools while wearing gloves.
• Work in extreme temperature conditions, both inside and outside, on slippery or uneven surfaces.
• Have 2–4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably industrial or manufacturing.
• Technical degree is a strong plus.
• Wear applicable PPE (safety glasses, metatarsal‑guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.).
• Recognize and safely use all basic portable and hand power tools.
