At Mahaska Health, a Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse coordinates patient education and interdisciplinary activities while maintaining professional standards in accordance with Mahaska Health Partnership.

Sign-on Bonus: $10,000

Hours:

• Full-time: 7:00am - 7:00pm
• Full-time: 7:00pm - 7:00am (weekend rotation, differentials included)

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients.
• Assess and document physical, psychological, spiritual, and social dimensions upon admission.
• Establish treatment priorities based on diagnoses.
• Implement and modify individualized care plans.
• Utilize resources and consult with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Reassess and document patient status regularly.
• Identify problems and implement appropriate actions.
• Document interventions and responses.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely.
• Educate patients and families about disease and treatment.
• Organize workload for timely care delivery.
• Maintain proper documentation and communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform physical demands of the job and maintain reliable attendance.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter training within 6 months of hire.
• Adhere to all licensure, certification, and regulatory standards.
