Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Packaging Equipment Specialist to join our client’s team. In this vital role, the specialist will provide technical expertise in packaging processes, support equipment qualification activities, and contribute to process improvements within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and report on engineering protocols, project plans, risk assessments, change controls, user requirement specifications (URS), and qualification documents (protocols and reports).
Lead investigations, including fact-finding, root cause analyses, CAPEX projects, process changes, and process improvements.
Participate in or lead peer groups focused on specific technical areas to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
Manage systems such as the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS), SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) procedures, and change control processes to ensure compliance and continuous process improvement.
Implement company policies related to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and SHE, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all team members.
Collaborate across departments such as Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, and Engineering to facilitate project execution and ongoing maintenance of packaging equipment and processes.
Requirements
Higher professional education (HBO) in chemical technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Several years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a comparable multidisciplinary environment.
Strong technical and technological background, with experience in equipment qualification and validation.
Knowledge of secondary and tertiary packaging techniques and materials.
Familiarity with GMP standards, EHS guidelines, and Lean principles.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and inspire team members.
Results-oriented, flexible, proactive, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
