Senior Specialist – General Accounting

Our client is a leading organization operating in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. They are committed to innovation, compliance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple entities worldwide.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant specializing in legal and compliance matters to join our client's finance team. This role involves managing financial reporting processes, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards, and supporting audit and compliance activities.

• Coordinate the month-end closing process for the company's entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and Dutch GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring they meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with global teams including tax, compliance, and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain supporting documentation for financial reports and ensure control procedures are followed according to internal standards.
• Support the statutory audit process and address any audit findings or requirements.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts, tax reporting, and manage cost‑sharing activities such as R&D charges and royalty calculations.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage corporate income tax submissions.
• Assist with internal control frameworks, including SOX compliance and documentation updates.
• Support initiatives to streamline and standardize financial processes across the organization.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Profound knowledge of US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and Dutch tax regulations.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA, advanced Excel skills, and financial reporting tools.
• Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
