Job PurposeReporting to the BT Lead for LCM, FM and Quality & Labs, you lead the design and delivery of AI and data solutions that help the Oss site work smarter. You own your initiatives end-to-end: from understanding the business challenge and designing the right approach, to building the solution, driving adoption and measuring the outcomes. You operate with significant autonomy, making judgment calls on solution design, tool selection and prioritization.
Responsibilities- Lead AI Opportunity Discovery: facilitate structured workshops and interviews with business stakeholders to identify where AI and advanced analytics can unlock meaningful value; synthesize complex input into actionable problem definitions and build the business case for AI initiatives.
- Design & Deliver AI Solutions: own the full lifecycle of AI and analytics solutions, scoping, designing, building, testing and handing them over to the business; select fit‑for‑purpose tools and methods and ensure every solution is scalable, compliant and genuinely useful.
- Architect Data Flows & Models: design data structures, transformation logic and governance frameworks that underpin reliable AI and analytics; identify data quality issues, propose remediation and build reproducible pipelines.
- Lead Platform Strategy & Governance: take ownership of the AI and Data & Analytics platform portfolio, evaluate new tools, govern access and usage, ensure alignment with security and compliance requirements and drive continuous improvement.
- Own Projects & Drive Outcomes: lead project streams from initiation to close – managing scope, timeline, risks and stakeholder communication; keep senior leaders informed and create conditions for team success.
- Build Capability & Coach the Team: transfer knowledge to junior colleagues and the wider team, create reusable assets, facilitate learning sessions on AI tools and methods, and raise AI fluency across the organization.
- Navigate Compliance by Design: interpret GxP, data integrity and change control requirements and translate them into concrete design choices for trustworthy, auditable AI solutions.
- Completed HBO or WO degree in Information Technology, Business IT, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience delivering data, analytics or AI solutions in a business context; demonstrated ownership of at least one end‑to‑end solution delivery cycle.
- Experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or regulated (GxP/GMP) environment is advantageous.
- Confidence with Power BI, SQL and Python.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud or AI platforms (Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot or similar).
- Ability to design data models and build analytics solutions independently.
- Experience with validation or test documentation in regulated environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English; ability to communicate with clarity and confidence to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Curiosity about AI, active followership of the field and ability to inspire the team.
- Experience with generative AI solutions (RAG, prompt engineering, agent‑based workflows), MLOps, data governance or enterprise AI governance frameworks.
- Track record of presenting an AI business case to senior stakeholders and moving it forward.
- End‑to‑end ownership of AI initiatives that directly improve how medicines are made and delivered.
- Seat at the table when BT strategy is shaped – your expertise informs the direction we take.
