For one of our clients, we are looking for an Associate Scientist Materials Science who enjoys working with advanced analytical techniques in an international pharmaceutical environment. In this varied role, you will combine hands‑on laboratory work with complex material investigations and root cause analyses of pharmaceutical products and packaging materials.
Job DescriptionYou will become part of a specialized Materials Science team that provides global analytical support to manufacturing, quality, and technical departments. You will independently perform laboratory investigations and support a wide range of material and packaging studies, ranging from small‑scale analyses to comprehensive root cause investigations. Using a variety of advanced analytical techniques, you will play a key role in interpreting data and reporting investigation results.
Responsibilities- Perform material and packaging investigations using techniques such as SEM-EDX, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, optical microscopy, and mechanical testing;
- Support analytical investigations involving foreign particulate matter, packaging materials, and pharmaceutical products;
- Independently execute laboratory activities within Materials Science projects;
- Interpret analytical results and prepare technical investigation reports;
- Collaborate with international colleagues across Manufacturing, QA/QC, and Technical Operations;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and analytical support.
- Completed MBO or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline;
- Several years of hands‑on laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or analytical environment;
- Experience with analytical techniques such as SEM-EDX, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, or similar methods is an advantage;
- Experience preparing technical reports and investigation documentation;
- Able to work independently, accurately, and effectively under pressure;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- One‑year contract through Oxford Global Resources;
- Salary between €2,800 and €3,500 gross per month, depending on experience;
- Full‑time, 12‑month assignment covering maternity leave;
