Today, Newly Weds® Foods is a world leader in food ingredient technology. A network of R&D, manufacturing and service facilities around the globe allows us to serve our customers’ needs in more than 68 countries. That’s why we continue to invest in infrastructure, human resources and capacity to keep pace with our customers’ needs and expectations.

The Role About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for quality, food safety, and continuous improvement to play a key role in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards.

Reporting to the QC Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring raw materials, products, production processes, and quality systems while maintaining a strong focus on food safety, GMP, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality testing and analysis of finished products and work-in-progress (WIP) samples.

  • Monitor and audit production processes, HACCP systems, quality control records, and process control documentation.

  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), hygiene standards, and product protection procedures are followed at all times.

  • Investigate quality issues and support corrective and preventative actions to reduce recurring problems.

  • Carry out non-routine product testing and investigations as requested by management.

  • Provide clear disposition instructions for non-conforming products and raw materials.

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.

  • Ensure laboratory chemicals and consumables are adequately stocked and replenished.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed.

  • Assist with stock counts and general quality department activities.

  • Work collaboratively with Production, Technical, and other departments to drive quality improvements.

  • Support the QC Supervisor with daily operational activities.

  • Rotate between Blending and Bakehouse quality testing areas as required.

  • Provide flexibility to cover operational requirements, including planned overtime when necessary.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Quality Control, Laboratory, Food Manufacturing, or Production environment.

  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording and analysing data.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexible approach to working across different departments and shift requirements.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Training and development opportunities.

  • Career progression within a growing business.

  • Supportive team environment.

  • Opportunity to contribute to a quality-focused and customer-driven operation.

If you are passionate about quality, enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and want to make a genuine impact on product excellence.
