Security Officer - ABP Ellesmere Abattoir Gatehouse

Location: Ellesmere, Shropshire - SY12

Pay: £13.62 per hour

Hours: On average 42 hours per week

Requirement: Valid SIA Licence

Kingdom Services Group is looking for a confident, professional, and reliable Security Officer to join our team at the ABP Ellesmere Abattoir Gatehouse in the Ellesmere area.

This is a gatehouse-based security role at a working abattoir site where you will provide a strong and visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering and leaving the site.

• Managing access control to the site
• Booking vehicles in and out of site
• Conducting site patrols to maintain security and safety
• Carrying out trailer temperature checks and trailer sealing
• Maintaining site BIO security procedures
• Control and management of site keys
• Providing out-of-hours reception duties
• Operating the site weighbridge
• Supporting animal welfare procedures
• Conducting pallet and basket checks
• Completing staff and vehicle searches, including production areas
• Completing waste documentation and records
• Carrying out site chiller temperature checks
• Monitoring premises and responding to incidents
• Completing accurate reports and recording observations

• Valid SIA Licence
• Full 5-year checkable work history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, confident, and reliable approach
• Good IT skills
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
• Surveillance and observation skills
• Previous security experience desirable but not essential
• Flexibility to work shifts as required

• A valid SIA Licence is required
• A full 5-year employment history check is required
• This role is based at a working abattoir site and includes regular site patrol duties
