Nutritionist-Registered Dietitian

Nutritionist-Registered Dietitian at Columbia Basin Health Association

This position provides nutrition education and counseling to clients participating in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, Maternity Support Services (MSS), and clinic medical patients, focusing on preventing disease and promoting good health.

• Work as part of the care team to manage patients’ nutritional needs and health concerns efficiently and effectively.
• Deliver care management and nutrition education consultations.
• Manage caseload effectively by providing timely interventions, quality services, achieving positive outcomes, and maintaining productivity levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote a positive work culture and uphold clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality of CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information, and proprietary information.

• Must hold a license as a registered dietitian and be licensed to practice in Washington state.
• Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.

• Prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
• Use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.
• Create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Perform basic e-mail functions using Outlook.
• Enter and manage data in a centralized electronic health records system.

• Effectively communicate opinions, analyses, and information collected.
• Negotiate resolutions to complex, potentially adversarial situations.
• Compile and analyze information into written documents, reports, and other documentation.
• Persuade others to take desired actions or adopt specific behaviors.
