Geotechnical Engineer to deliver cutting-edge ground engineering solutions across a range of high-profile infrastructure and development projects at Align Property Services.

You'll play an active role in delivering site investigations, geotechnical assessments, slope stability analyses, and engineering geology projects, helping to shape infrastructure, development, and environmental solutions that make a real impact.
This role can be based in Otley, with regular attendance in Northallerton, one day a week.

What You’ll be Doing- Plan, supervise, and deliver ground investigation projects across a range of sites.
- Log soil and rock samples in line with industry standards and best practice.
- Interpret geological and geotechnical data to support project delivery.
- Prepare high-quality factual and interpretative ground investigation reports.
- Support geotechnical assessments and design activities.
- Carry out site inspections, monitoring, and field investigations.
- Assist with landslide and slope stability assessments.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- BSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline, with an MSc in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in engineering geology and/or geotechnical engineering.
- Experience planning, supervising, or undertaking ground investigations.
- Strong soil and rock logging skills, with a good understanding of industry standards.
- Ability to interpret site investigation data and produce clear, accurate technical reports.
- Good technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
