Responsibilities
Prepare and update government remittances and filings, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable and payroll transactions.Prepare client files.Perform the month-end and quarter-end close process.Maintain, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions and point of sale/system uploads.Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop solutions.Respond to information requests from various levels of government.Work collaboratively with the engagement team.Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.Skills and experience
Accounting certificateAdvanced knowledge of FrenchPayroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is considered an assetUp to 5 years of relevant accounting experienceWorking knowledge of basic accounting principles and processesExperience using accounting softwareExperience preparing T4 and T5 slips is considered an asset
