Overview

Manager - Core Audit - Ottawa at EY

As a Manager in EY's Core Audit practice, you will lead complex audit engagements across diverse industries, leveraging professional skills and experience to deliver quality and timely results. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to grow within an assurance culture that values innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Oversee fieldwork, monitor engagement status, and manage team performance.
  • Adapt audit approaches to evolving client environments and regulatory changes.
  • Apply advanced accounting and auditing concepts to complex client situations.
  • Coach and mentor team members, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and proposal preparation.
  • Utilize technology and data analytics to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation (or progress toward completion).
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in audit or assurance within a public accounting firm.
  • Proven experience managing teams and complex engagements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (for roles in bilingual regions).
Preferred/Additional Skills
  • Experience with data analytics and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Government of Canada Security Clearance is an asset.
