If you are communicative, organized and enjoy digging into details and analyzing results in a fast-paced environment, this is for you. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, your main responsibilities include:
Maintain financial records to assist with the preparation of financial statementsSupport the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cyclesProduce financial reports and variance analysisCompile and post month-end entriesPost journal entries and reconcile accountsMaintain general ledgersPrepare and file monthly HST and QST ReturnsPrepare and maintain accurate and complete records for auditsSupport the processing of payroll transactions and ensure compliance with payroll legislation and policiesPrepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as neededThis is a deadline-driven environment where you will need to take initiative and have the ability to multi-task. You will be working in the full accounting cycle and be working with large data sets to create reports and identify trends to forecast. You will continue to build your experience with a friendly, passionate team that offers excellent perks and a great work-life balance!
Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:
Formal accounting educationMinimum 4 years’ experience in a similar roleFull cycle accounting experience, including month endStrong Microsoft Excel skillsPrevious experience working in a non-profit organization is a strong assetCompensation, Perks & Opportunities:
