Accountant, Tax Accountant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

Position: Full-Time Accountant
Join a boutique public accounting firm in Ottawa as a full-time Accountant. Enjoy a collaborative work environment handling client engagements and tax preparation while working in-office only.

This position is based in the East End of Ottawa and involves working closely with clients on corporate year-end tasks, personal tax prep, and bookkeeping reviews. You will act as back-up for payroll processing and communicate with CRA for clients while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage corporate year-end engagements and personal tax preparation

• Review bookkeeping and enter adjusting entries

• Act as back-up for client payroll processing

• Communicate with CRA on client’s behalf

• Prepare financial statements in Caseware and produce T2s

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience in a public firm

• Strong skills in Quick Books Online, bilingual in English and French

• Familiarity with Caseware and Taxprep software

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

• Able to work comfortably with a dog in the office
