Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is a key member of Assent's Finance team, responsible for a full range of complex analytical and transactional accounting functions. This role independently owns the complete Financial Accountant scope with additional responsibility for complex accounting areas, variance and revenue analysis, consolidated financial reporting support, and external reporting packages.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role suited to a detail‑oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced SaaS environment. The Senior Accountant is responsible for coaching junior team members and contributing to process improvement and system implementations — including Assent's ongoing implementation of a new AR and Revenue management platform and AI initiatives.

Assent’s Finance team operates with an AI‑first mindset. We are continuously investing in automation and intelligent workflows, and this person will be an active contributor to that journey. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, initiative, and a strong interest in using these tools to work more effectively while applying their accounting knowledge.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities

Month‑End Close & Journal Entries

Prepare and post monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaids, amortizations, lease accounting entries (IFRS 16), and revenue recognition adjustments (IFRS 15), ensuring accurate and timely month‑end close.

Own specific balance sheet areas including prepaids, fixed assets, and leases; complete related reconciliations and investigate discrepancies with clear supporting documentation.

Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger, ensuring all additions, disposals, and transfers are recorded accurately; support periodic reconciliations between the fixed asset register and the general ledger.

Revenue & Accounts Receivable

Review and approve sales orders to ensure accuracy and completeness as the basis for revenue recognition and invoicing; perform regular reviews of the sales…
