Title: Bookkeeper
Salary Range: $65,000 - $78,000
Employment Type: Full-time

The RoleKey Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Reconcile bank, credit card, tax accounts, and other balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and file HST/GST returns and payroll remittances
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
- Support new client onboarding, including setting up charts of accounts, training on bookkeeping processes, and providing ongoing support and quarterly check-ins
- Clean up and organize historical or incomplete bookkeeping records to support year-end preparation
- Prepare working papers for year-end engagements
- Support partners and accounting staff with year-end files and tax reporting requirements
- Communicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping matters
- Provide updates to partners and managers on job status, deadlines, and client issues
- Maintain accurate and well-organized digital records
- Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within a public accounting firm
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting and payroll practices
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online/Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
- Resourceful, with the ability to problem-solve and work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with Case Ware and CCH products is an asset
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms such as Sage or Xero is an asset
