We are currently seeking a strategic and meticulous Sr. Bookkeeper on behalf of our client in the national van line industry. This is a full-time, permanent leadership position for a professional who thrives in a focused, on-site environment and brings specific industry expertise to a high-performing finance department.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the driving force behind the company’s financial operations, overseeing daily entries, complex industry billing, and team performance.

- Direct the accounting workflow, ensuring accuracy in van line invoicing, quarterly billing, and monthly government vehicle invoicing.
- Supervise and process government invoicing specifically for LTS, Air, and Sea shipments.
- Execute and review all aspects of A/R, A/P, General Ledger maintenance, and Journal entries.
- Manage long-distance and local claims while performing and auditing revenue distribution tasks.
- Identify efficiencies in general accounting functions and provide administrative financial leadership to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a Quick Books expert and a proven mentor who understands the unique nuances of the moving and storage industry.

- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7+ years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or "Team Lead" capacity.
- Previous experience working specifically with a van line is strictly required.
- Advanced proficiency in Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a natural ability to mentor staff and work independently.
- High level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and impeccable attention to detail.
