Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Managing assurance and accounting engagements, including the relevant tax filings, with dedicated resources including paperless office infrastructure.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff on assurance and accounting engagements.
- Identifying and resolving assurance and accounting engagement issues.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Providing insights and advice to clients to support their business goals.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of best practices within the team.
- Supporting business development activities to attract new clients and expand service offerings.
- Progressive Accounting
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in public accounting, coupled with the successful completion of CPA exams. - CPA Designation:
Possession of a CPA designation, or active progress toward fulfilling the required hours for certification. - Management Proficiency:
Experience in managing audit and assurance engagements and leading teams. - Client‑Centric Approach:
Demonstrated ability to provide value‑added services to clients, with a strong commitment to their success. - ASPE Knowledge:
Proficiency in Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) requirements is necessary. - Software Competence:
Experience with Caseware and Taxprep software is highly desirable. - Deadline‑Oriented:
Strong understanding of a client‑focused environment, awareness of related deadlines, and the capability to consistently meet them. - Confidentiality and Discretion:
Sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive matters. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. - Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Team Player: A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Business Development:
Experience in business development activities, focusing on client acquisition and retention.
