Position: Staff Accountant Role

The firm is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to enhance their public accounting experience. Responsibilities include year-end compilations, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing sales tax returns. You will manage multiple client engagements while communicating effectively to resolve discrepancies and track deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare year-end compilation and audit engagements

• Maintain accurate financial records for client portfolios

• Prepare and file GST/HST and sales tax returns

• Manage several client engagements effectively

• Communicate with clients for required documentation

Requirements:

• University degree or college diploma in Accounting

• CPA designation or in progress, preferred

• 2+ years of public accounting experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
