Position: Staff Accountant for Tech Team
Join Welch LLP as a Staff Accountant in Ottawa and support our specialized Tech Team. You'll oversee accounting engagements, manage tax filings, and work closely with high-growth technology clients.

This position requires participation in audits and preparation of tax returns for diverse clients, including startups and public companies. You will collaborate with junior staff while ensuring compliance with ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP. Expect dynamic exposure to complex funding structures and regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assurance and accounting engagements accurately

• Oversee junior staff in accounting tasks

• Identify and resolve issues in engagements

• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns

• Ensure compliance with relevant reporting standards

Requirements:

• 2+ years of public accounting experience

• CPA, CA designation or working towards it

• Audit and assurance experience required

• Proficiency in Caseware and Taxprep

• Strong attention to detail and deadlines
