Join our team as an Accounting Technician based in Ottawa, Ontario, where you'll ensure robust financial operations in a hybrid work model. Help maintain accurate records and support critical finance processes. In this role, you will engage in day-to‑day financial tasks, such as recording transactions and supporting month‑end closings.
A solid foundation in accounting principles is necessary, along with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You will also collaborate with various teams to assist with discrepancies and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities- Process daily banking activities and reconciliations
- Record transactions adhering to established procedures
- Prepare necessary journal entries and adjustments
- Support cash application and invoicing processes
- Collaborate in financial reporting and analysis
- Education in Finance or Accounting required
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel, familiarity with Sage
300 - Detail‑oriented with solid analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, bilingual considered an asset
