Residential Property Accountant

Join a collaborative property management team in Downtown Ottawa as a Residential Property Accountant on a temporary basis. This hands-on role requires reliable accounting expertise and independence.

This role is perfect for an experienced accountant with at least four years in full-cycle accounting. You will manage accounts payable and receivable for residential properties, complete reconciliations, and prepare financial statements. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help support the financial processes for our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable for properties

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Post journal entries and maintain ledger accuracy

• Prepare monthly financial statements and support end-of-year processes

• Apply tenant charges and coordinate rent collections

Requirements:

• Four years of full-cycle accounting experience

• Proven ability to manage multiple sets of books

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles

• Detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities

• Comfortable interacting with tenants and vendors
