Director of Finance

Job #5043 – Our client is a well‑established not‑for‑profit home and community care organization in Ottawa that helps individuals live safely and independently at home and in their communities. They are seeking a full‑time, permanent Director of Finance to join their team.

• Lead and oversee a small finance team responsible for payroll and accounting functions, while maintaining a hands‑on approach.
• Manage month‑end close processes, including preparation of financial statements, reporting and performance analytics.
• Complete various government reporting requirements related to funding and compliance.
• Develop forecasting models and “what‑if” scenario analyses to support strategic financial planning and decision‑making.
• Lead year‑end audit preparation and coordination.
• Support organizational growth strategy through market analysis, competitor research and evaluation of service expansion opportunities.

• Degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA designation required.
• 7+ years of experience in the full cycle of accounting, including management with a strategic focus.
• Proficient in Excel.

• $110,000 – $130,000 annual salary range.
