Intermediate Accountant at BluMetric

Join Blu Metric's Finance team in Ottawa as an Intermediate Accountant. This role focuses on financial reporting, compliance, and month-end closing while ensuring accurate financial operations.

At Blu Metric, you'll contribute significantly to the Finance team by leveraging your expertise as an Intermediate Accountant. With a minimum of 7 years of full cycle accounting experience, you will support month-end processes, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with IFRS. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will drive improved reporting and innovative processes within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for the Executive team

• Conduct variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement

• Review monthly journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

• Manage joint venture accounting transactions and compliance

• Assist in developing fiscal year budgets and forecasts

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum 7 years in accounting and financial reporting

• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
