Our client, a Canadian-owned IT solutions and services provider, delivers end-to-end technology support to both public and private sector organizations. They are currently seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end revenue lifecycle for complex, high-value client engagements. You will ensure accurate revenue recognition across multi-element arrangements, which may include hardware, software licensing, and milestone-based professional services, in accordance with ASC 606 / ASPE 3400 accounting standards.
The ideal candidate is collaborative and friendly, with a strong social and team-oriented approach. You enjoy mentoring others, bringing a high level of accuracy to your work, and communicating clearly and effectively across teams. Reporting to the CFO, main responsibilities include:
- Managing and automating revenue reconciliation, ensuring smooth processing from sales orders through to revenue reporting
- Handle complex pricing allocations across bundled products and services, maintaining accurate pricing and calculations
- Review contracts to identify deliverables and determine when revenue should be recognized (at delivery vs. overtime)
- Track project-based revenue for implementation work, including milestone-based or progress-based billing
- Support month-end close activities, including reviewing deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and contract balances
- Ensure all revenue practices comply with accounting standards and provide clear audit support and documentation when required

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA designation (active or in progress) is highly preferred
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Net Suite ARM or a similar revenue recognition system
- Experience in an IT reseller or value-added reseller environment
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / ASPE 3400); familiarity with Canadian public sector or government contracting is an asset
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, validation, and reporting between systems
- Secret Clearance required
- $85,000- $100,000 annual salary range
