Accounting Manager at Bookkeeper Firm

Lead financial compliance and insight as an Accounting Manager with our Bookkeeping team. Focus on accounting standards while managing key financial relationships and operations.

In this critical role, you will oversee all accounting practices aligned with the Accounting Standards Board. Engage with external accountants, regulators, and finance entities, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and banking protocols. You will also prepare financial reports while managing a small team of accountants, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial compliance and external accountant relations

• Prepare weekly/monthly P&L and inventory reports

• Oversee direct reports' progress and performance

• Ensure completion of journal entries and bank reconciliations

• Calculate HST remittances and support audits

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a Bookkeeper or Accountant

• Strong accounting principles and auditing knowledge

• Proficient in Quick Books and financial systems

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Ability to prioritize under pressure
