Become a critical financial support figure as a Fiscal Technician within the Children and Youth Department. This advanced clerical position leverages accounting practices to meet state regulations and improve fiscal operations.
In this vital role, you will maintain all financial records for Children and Youth, ensuring compliance with Northumberland County policies. Your responsibilities include managing ledgers, preparing expense reports, and acting as a liaison with the County Controller's Office. You'll play a key role in the reconciliation between agency and county records while staying updated on funding eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain ledgers and journals per accounting standards
• Prepare weekly expense vouchers for processing
• Assist in quarterly Title IV-E and TANF reports
• Liaise with County Controller’s Office on expenditures
• Ensure accurate posting of payrolls to cost centers
Requirements:
• One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years in fiscal roles
• Experience applying accounting principles
• Associate degree in accounting or business administration
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to navigate complex social services issues
Drive fiscal integrity and accountability in the Children and Youth Department through accurate record-keeping and financial management.
