Elevate your finance career as a Finance Specialist at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. This temporary full-time role focuses on accurate bi-weekly payroll processing and compliance with payroll regulations.
The Royal Ottawa is seeking a Finance Specialist to support payroll functions across its associated organizations. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate bi-weekly payroll, actioning HR transactions, and adhering to collective agreements. You will maintain documentation and perform payroll audits while preparing reports for employee benefits and pensions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process bi-weekly payroll and generate outputs
• Action HR-related payroll transactions and audits
• Maintain payroll documentation and complete external reports
• Calculate payments and prepare benefit billings
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and analyze variances
Requirements:
• OSSD or equivalent with 2 years of accounting diploma
• Minimum 2 years payroll experience; preference for 3
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification required
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and typing speed of 35 words per minute
