Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers a mix of hands-on accounting work, client interaction, and exposure to a variety of engagements, making it ideal for someone looking to build on their public accounting experience in a collaborative environment.

• Prepare year-end compilation engagements and support review and audit engagements
• Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
• Prepare and file GST/HST and other sales tax returns
• Manage multiple engagements, tracking deadlines and outstanding client information
• Communicate with clients to obtain required documentation and resolve discrepancies

• University degree or college diploma in Accounting or related field
• CPA designation is an asset; must be eligible or actively pursuing
• 2+ years of experience in a public accounting firm
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Case Ware, Taxprep, Quick Books (Online/Desktop), and CCH iFirm is an asset
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
