Hybrid Property Accountant

Step into a key role as a Property Accountant / Full-Cycle Bookkeeper based in Downtown Ottawa, with a hybrid work model of four days on-site and one day remote. Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure financial accuracy for a diverse property portfolio.

We are looking for a meticulous Property Accountant with approximately five years of experience in property management or real estate. This hybrid position involves comprehensive financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, and supporting property operations with timely financial insights. Candidates should possess proficiency in Yardi for property accounting and demonstrate analytical skills for effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned property portfolio

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements

• Maintain records of rental income and operating expenses

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Support annual operating and capital budgets

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance

• Five years of experience in property management accounting

• Proficient in Yardi and Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
