Position: Deputy Auditor General - City
Lead the audit function as the Deputy Auditor General for the City of Ottawa, enhancing community operations and services. This leadership role requires expertise in auditing and team management to ensure effective compliance and performance.

Join the Office of the Auditor General as the Deputy Auditor General, responsible for overseeing audits from the annual work plan and managing related investigations. You will support the Auditor General in administration, enhance audit effectiveness, and manage teams while providing crucial insights to the City Council. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead individual audits and investigations assigned from yearly plans

• Manage OAG teams and external consultants for audit delivery

• Ensure compliance and performance auditing to boost city operations

• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve auditing functions

• Handle day-to-day operations, financial and human resources

Requirements:

• University degree with CPA or CIA designation

• Minimum ten years of related audit experience

• Experience in municipal/provincial/federal auditing environments

• Proven leadership and effective communication skills

• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
