Support full-cycle accounting at Taggart Realty Management in Ottawa through invoice processing, reconciliations, and accurate financial records. This hybrid role requires 80% office attendance.
Reporting to the Commercial Development Controller, the Accounting Clerk handles timely accounting tasks across Taggart Realty Management’s property operations. Responsibilities include vendor invoices, bank reconciliations, journal entries, HST filings, and organized records. The position also communicates with development teams, vendors, and clients to resolve discrepancies while following documented processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify, code, and enter approved vendor invoices
- Coordinate job cost coding with development teams
- Process cheque runs and incoming cash receipts
- Prepare bank and corporate credit card reconciliations
- Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting files
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
- One to two years of relevant experience preferred
- Basic Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
- ERP or complex accounting system experience is an asset
