Payroll Clerk Payroll Processing

Manage accurate payroll processing for Marion Community Unit School District 2 using timesheet data, wage calculations, and payroll software. This is a full-time position.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll Clerk processes employee compensation and responds to payroll-related inquiries. The work requires accounting knowledge, numerical accuracy, confidentiality, and familiarity with payroll systems. Candidates may use Skyward, Red Rover, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Excel.

• Collect and verify hours, timesheets, and attendance records
• Calculate bi-weekly wages, overtime, stipends, and leave payments
• Process taxes, garnishments, and benefit deductions
• Maintain payroll records, new hire setups, and direct deposits
• Resolve discrepancies and support employee payroll questions

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One to three years of relevant experience
• Payroll software experience, including Skyward or Red Rover
• Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite experience
• Strong accuracy, math, confidentiality, and communication skills
