Construction Accounting Bookkeeper

Manage cash flow, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial reporting as a Bookkeeper with a construction company in Ottawa’s east end. This permanent, full-time position is 100% in-office.

The Bookkeeper oversees daily accounting activities supporting operational requirements and company liquidity. Responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, billing, collections, remittances, and reporting. Sage 50, Microsoft Office, and construction accounting experience are relevant to this position.

• Manage daily cash flow and monitor company liquidity
• Oversee accurate accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Complete billing and collections for rentals and carpentry projects
• Perform month-end procedures and financial reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies

• Minimum two years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
• Construction accounting experience with progress billing preferred
• Proficiency with Sage 50 and Microsoft Office
• Experience with reconciliations and month-end processes
• Own vehicle required because public transportation is unavailable
