Accounts Payable Specialist

Manage full-cycle accounts payable at Canadian North, using invoice processing and Microsoft Excel to support accurate, timely payments. This position supports northern communities.

As an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist, you will manage paperless invoices, vendor records, reconciliations, and payment issues. The role requires accounting principles, strong organization, and professional communication. You will report to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable.

• Manage invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Verify invoices, authorizations, and company policy compliance
• Perform three-way matching using purchase orders and receipts
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assist with close activities, audits, reporting, and financial tasks

• One to two years of accounts payable experience
• Accounting, Finance, or related education strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Microsoft Excel proficiency and deadline management
• SAP Concur or ERP experience is an asset
